DoveSocial: DoveSocial™Share the story. Protect the person.™

Tell the good stories. Never at someone's expense.

Care is full of moments worth sharing, and every one of them belongs to a person first. DoveSocial is social media publishing built for care organizations: a post waits until the questions are answered and the right written permission is on file, the permission is tied to that post and that person, reminders go out before it expires, and a last check runs right before anything is sent to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube. No permission, no post.

DoveSocial is the care center's governed public voice. Privacy officers help shape each release.

What it does

Every post waits for its permission.

What DoveSocial does for the people who tell a care organization's story and the people whose story it is.

  • Every post waits

Drafts, photos, videos and captions go into a queue, and nothing leaves it until the review is complete. A post that cannot be cleared is held and sent to a person, never quietly approved.

  • Questions a filter cannot answer

A short, adaptive set of questions asks what no software can tell from a picture: is this a current or former client, was it taken during a visit, does it hint at a condition, who else is in the frame.

  • Permission tied to the post

Each written authorization gets its own reference and is linked to the exact post, the people in it, the purpose and the platforms it covers. Change the picture, add a person or pick a new platform, and the post is checked again.

  • Expiry and renewal

An authorization has an end date. DoveSocial reminds the right people 72, 48 and 24 hours before, and renewal means a new yes, in writing. Silence is never a yes.

  • A last check before it goes

Right before a post is sent to a platform, DoveSocial checks that nothing has changed: the content, the people, the permission, the account. Then it compares what the platform published with what was approved.

  • A record for every post

Who approved what, under which authorization, for which platform, and what was actually published, kept together and ready for a review.

The moments it is built for

The good story, told the right way.

The birthday photo

A caregiver wants to share a client's 90th. DoveSocial asks who is in the picture and whether a signed authorization covers it. If not, it offers a path: ask the family, crop the photo, or tell the story without the person.

The thank-you post

A client praises your team on their own page. Resharing it can still reveal that they are a client. DoveSocial holds the repost until a permission to share is on file.

The edited post

A reviewer cleared a caption on Tuesday. On Thursday someone adds a second photo. The clearance is withdrawn and the post goes back for review, automatically.

The expired permission

A post is scheduled for the 15th; the authorization ends on the 12th. DoveSocial flags it in time to renew, or holds it.

DoveSocial helps an organization collect, track and honor written authorizations and keep a record of each publishing decision. It does not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee compliance with HIPAA or any other law; your privacy officer and counsel decide what may be shared, and a valid written authorization is required wherever the law requires one.

The path

From a draft to a post you can stand behind.

Five steps, and the Doves that carry each one.

  1. FirstA draft goes in

Text, photos, video and the platforms it is meant for. DoveSocial gives it a reference and starts the review.

  2. ThenThe questions

An adaptive questionnaire asks what a filter cannot tell: who is in it, when it was taken, what it might reveal.

  3. NextThe permission

Each person in the post is matched to a written authorization that covers this use, this platform and this period. Missing or expired, the post is held and a request goes out.

    DoveNest™

  4. ThenThe reviewer

Anything uncertain goes to a named person. A hard failure cannot be overridden by a click.

  5. LastThe last check and the record

Right before sending, everything is checked again. What the platform publishes is compared with what was approved, and the record is sealed.

    DoveOS™

How it connects

One of the 12 Dove Branches around your care center.

DoveSocial is the circle's voice. It uses the training, the client records and the people the other Doves already know, so a permission is asked of the right person and a story is told with the care it deserves.

How the center works

  • DoveOS

    The people and the permissions

DoveOS knows who is a client, who may sign for them and which authorizations are on file.

  • DoveNest

    Training for everyone who posts

DoveNest teaches the rules of sharing and records who has read them before they can publish.

  • The DOVE News™

    Stories told well

The DOVE News brings the editorial eye; DoveSocial carries the story to each platform, cleared.

  • DoveStuff™

    The merchandise moments

Team photos in DoveStuff gear are the easy posts; DoveSocial keeps them that way.

Good to know

What DoveSocial does, and does not do.

  • DoveSocial does not guarantee compliance with HIPAA or any other law, and it is not legal advice. Your privacy officer and counsel decide what may be shared.
  • A written authorization is required wherever the law requires one; a recorded verbal yes supports the record but never replaces it.
  • No social platform is a partner of The Dove Circle™. Publishing uses each platform's own approved connections.

FAQs

Questions about DoveSocial.

How do we start with DoveSocial?

Use the form below. The gates are set up with your office and your privacy officer before the first post goes out.

Does DoveSocial make our posts compliant with health-privacy law?

No software can promise that. DoveSocial holds posts until the questions are answered and the right written permission is on file, and keeps the record. What may be shared is your privacy officer's and counsel's call.

If a client posts their own story, can we share it?

Not automatically. Resharing can reveal that someone is your client. DoveSocial holds the repost until a permission to share is on file.

Who can sign a permission?

The person, or someone with legal authority to act for them. DoveSocial records who signed and asks a reviewer to confirm authority when it is not clear.

Which platforms?

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to start, each through its own approved connection, and others as they are added.

How do I stay in touch?
