DoveRescue: When your team can't cover, your network can.
Two kinds of rescue for when care is at risk.
Home care breaks down in two ways: no caregiver for the shift, or no way to pay for the hours someone needs. Coverage Rescue finds a qualified replacement, from your own team first and then, with your permission, from partner offices. The Care Circle lets community sponsors help pay for care.
In development Partner and sponsor interest is open. No live staffing availability or giving is shown on this site.
Two kinds of rescue
One for staffing. One for paying for care.
-
Staffing emergency
Coverage Rescue
A caregiver calls out and a visit is about to go uncovered. Coverage Rescue offers the shift to your own team, then to participating partner offices and approved staffing providers, only as far as your rules allow.
-
Payment emergency
Care Circle
An older adult needs more hours of care than they can afford. Churches, mosques, temples, nonprofits, foundations, organizations and families can sponsor care hours, with money or an hours pledge.
Coverage Rescue · three circles of coverage
Start close to home. Widen only when you choose.
Each circle opens only if the one inside it can't cover the shift, and only as far as your agency's rules allow.
- 1
Internal Rescue
The shift is offered to your own eligible caregivers first, with the pay and details you approved.
- 2
Partner Rescue
Participating offices nearby can release an available caregiver for the visit, under a rate both offices agreed in advance.
- 3
Extended Rescue
If the network can't cover it, approved external staffing providers can be asked, on terms you've already accepted.
Coverage flow
From open shift to a caregiver at the door.
Step through a fictional overnight shift. The flow doesn't end when someone says yes; it ends when they arrive.

-
A caregiver calls out of tonight's 11 PM visit. DoveRescue opens a coverage request, either from DoveOnCall or from your coordinator.
-
Only caregivers who fit this client's needs, hold current credentials and are free for the visit are considered.
-
Your own eligible caregivers get the offer first, showing the visit, the area and the pay you approved. Tonight, no one on your team is available.
-
Your rules allow Partner Rescue, so the request goes to participating offices nearby. One office approves releasing an available caregiver for this visit.
-
The caregiver sees her pay, the visit time and what the client needs before she decides. She could say no without any penalty. She says yes.
-
DoveRescue confirms the assignment before anyone relies on it.
-
The client's family contact, both offices and your on-call manager are told who is coming and when.
-
She checks in at the client's home before 11 PM. Only now does the event close.
-
No check-in by the start of the visit. The shift reopens, the search restarts across every circle your rules allow, and your on-call manager is alerted to step in.
Who pays whom
Three separate amounts, never blurred together.
Every Partner or Extended Rescue keeps caregiver pay, agency reimbursement and the platform fee apart, so each party knows exactly what they earn or owe.

Caregiver pay
What the caregiver earns for the visit, shown before she accepts. She stays employed and paid by her own agency, under her own employment terms.
- Shown up front on every offer
- Premium emergency rates if her employer offers them
- Designed never to come out of caregiver pay

Agency reimbursement
What the office that needed help pays the office that released its caregiver, at an hourly rate the two offices agreed before any rescue happens.
- Pre-negotiated in each partner agreement
- Recorded for every shift for settlement
- Set by the offices, not by DoveRescue
Participating officepaysDoveRescue
Platform fee
What DoveRescue charges for coordinating coverage. It is billed separately and stated in the partner agreement.
- Separate line, never hidden in a rate
- No fees have been set yet
- Published to partners before enrollment
Agency controls and workforce eligibility
Each office stays in charge of its own people.
-
Your release rules
Your office decides whether, when and which caregivers can be released to a partner, and can pause sharing at any time.
-
Caregivers choose
No agency setting can make a caregiver take a shift. Declining is always free of penalty.
-
Your credential standards
Each office decides which credentials it accepts, and every caregiver is checked before an assignment.
-
Partner directory and radius
Choose the offices you work with and how far a request may travel.
-
Overtime limits
Shifts that would break your overtime or rest rules aren't offered.
-
Need-to-know client details
A partner caregiver sees only what the visit requires.
-
Clear incident ownership
The partner agreement says who handles what if something goes wrong during a shared shift.
-
Settlement records
Every rescue is recorded so offices can reconcile reimbursements without spreadsheets.
Before you join
Partnership is a business decision, and yours to make.
Sharing caregivers between offices touches franchise agreements, state licensing rules, insurance and employment responsibilities. Separate offices, including offices of the same franchise system, are not automatically allowed to share staff.
DoveRescue does not employ caregivers or make employment decisions. Each participating office should review its own agreements, insurance and applicable law, ideally with its advisers, before joining. Any non-solicitation terms in a partner agreement apply only as far as the law allows.
FAQs
Questions partner offices ask.
Is DoveRescue live?
Not yet. DoveRescue is in development, and the coverage flow on this page is a simulation with fictional people. We're gathering interest from offices that want to join early partner networks.
Can DoveRescue work without the other products?
That's the plan. Internal Rescue is useful to a single office, and DoveRescue works best alongside DoveOnCall and DoveOnDeck inside DoveOS.
Who employs a caregiver during a partner shift?
Her own agency, under her existing employment. The partner agreement covers reimbursement between offices, insurance and incident handling.
What is the Care Circle?
The second kind of rescue. When an older adult can't afford all the care they need, community sponsors can help pay for care hours. See the Care Circle page.
How are rates set?
Offices agree reimbursement rates with each other in advance. Caregiver pay is set by the caregiver's employer. DoveRescue's own fee is separate and will be stated in the partner agreement.
